Bonjour,
Nicolas Vitali propose des séjours de péche sur Socotra. Séjour semblant assez rustiques tant en hébergement qu'au niveau des bateaux. Mais un site qui semble permettre de très très belles péches avec des GT de très belle taille. Le créneau de dates semble fort étroit 6 à 8 semaines au printemps et à l'automne. Notez qu'un de nos forumeurs sera skipper dans cette organisation en mars et en octobre 2015 et communique avec enthousiasme sur cette destination. Peut être que d'autres forumeurs seront intéressés ? Pour ceux qui craindraient le pays, il est possible de passer par Sharshah (Qatar) ou de faire escale qq heures seulement à Sanaa sans nuit à l'hôtel en ville.

Hi Serge,
I start to send some info about the trip in socotra for autumn 2015. The available date and availability is 7 to 17 october (6 place available, non 4 places seulement, j'en ai réservé deux)
THE DATES ARE INTENDED DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL OF THE LOCAL AIRPLANE FROM TO SHARJAH.
DATES MAY VARY OF FEW DAYS IN ACCORDING WITH THE UPDATED FLIGHT SCHEDULE OF AUTUMN 2015, WHEN IT WILL BE PUBLISHED.
For logistic reason we increase the number of fisherman from 4 to 6 per group, since the high cost we effort to organize this itinerary, the fishing is 2 fisherman per boat, with a fishing guide every boat.
Our new area is huge and will be possible to fish many different spot over 8 full days fishing, the cost is 2700 euro per person inclusive of visa for Yemen (we provide visa and we need the passport copy by email). All fly connection excluded.
The total stay on the island is 9 full days, plus arrival departure days, the plan is the following:
Day 1: arrival in socotra, transfer by bus, embark on a big boat and transfer to the fishing area, dinner and night on board the big boat
Day 2 to day 9: 8 days fishing in 2 main different area, end of day 9 night transfer to the departure port
Day 10: early morning arrival in Qalansia (socotra), stay in hotel, pack the tackle, relax. Night at hotel (included in the price)
Day 11: transfer to airport and departure
The dates i plan are the only option to fly via Sharjah, since there are no other airplane to arrive or leave socotra at the moment. The schedule for autumn is still not published, but the current schedule was:
Departure from sharjah at 05.45 in the morning of the departure day
Arrival in sharjah at 21.15 on the arrival day.
The flight Sharjah Socotra cost around 750 usd, and we provide it after payment of the flight fare.
Is possible also to pass in Sanaa, the situation now was better than what media say, in this case the flight for socotra is cheaper (430 usd), and from europe is a good solution.
To book the spot we need an advance of 30% plus the domestic flight cost (via sanaa or via sharjah)
About the fishing the area is just insane, in 3 weeks we land around 180 gt, more than 400 gt strikes total, and 22 fish over 50 kg, a black marlin hooked on jigging, and a carpet of various fish on jigging!
